Welcome to the website of United States Magistrate Judge Michael F. Urbanski. This site is intended to provide counsel, members of the public and court personnel with information designed to assist them in matters before Judge Urbanski. Judge Urbanski has responsibility for preliminary matters in felony cases and primary responsibility for misdemeanors in the Roanoke, Lynchburg and Danville Divisions. Judge Urbanski also handles pretrial civil matters and mediations upon referral from the District Judges and may conduct civil jury trials on consent of the parties.
